Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad will be at Penang’s Esplanade on Saturday, to officiate the Merdeka month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang 2018 campaign.

Themed ‘Sayangi Malaysiaku’, the campaign will have activities such as fireworks display, flash mobs, and concerts.

Penang Island City Council mayor Datuk Yew Tung Seang said the event aims to instil the patriotic spirit among Malaysians.
