   I use a 16"x20" canvas. I add black paint to one side and white to the other. Wet paint facilitates paint added onto it to flow much more easily and the remaining canvas becomes nice negative space. I add colors to a shallow container I will use a scoop to remove the paint with. A silicone cupcake mold holds another pour.  I pour the colors out of directly into the puddles on the canvas alternating pre-mixed up plain colors from squeeze bottles. I begin with 3 main puddles which quickly become 8. I tip the canvas to allow the paint to flow and spread where I want it and when I finally stop the paint from flowing over, I pool it against my "edge catcher" and allow it to flow back into the pattern on the canvas. In the end, I added paint directly from my bottles where I felt it was needed and use a silicone spatula to swipe paint into place.I also use a small silicone basting brush to pull paint creating another swiping effect and some addition to the patterns via resulting brushstrokes.
  My "pouring" mixture or "recipe" is simple- 10-20% Golden Gac 800 goes into 80 or 90%  color to start the mixing process. Mix thoroughly. I add Floetrol,( minimum)enough to double the volume. You could use a more expensive alternative. I like Deco Art pouring medium. If you use squeeze bottles as I do, add a marble and shake your paints every time before you use them. All my acrylic paints are mixed in advance and contained and stored in squeeze bottles. I add no silicon. To create the pearlescent effects seen in most of my artworks I use "Golden's" Iridescent pearl "Fine" added to colors. By "eye " until I am pleased with what I see. Every day I learn new things. I will never stop experimenting and I  am happy to share what I discover with you.
