These 6 short films, introduced by Sir Harry Burns, Chief Medical Officer for Scotland, highlight the significance of health literacy in conversations between people and health care professionals. There is a focus onTeach Back, a simple technique where a patient is asked to repeat back what they've understood from a conversation. Films show the technique being used and how it may uncover important misunderstandings. Films are in a GP setting and have been produced by the Self Management Programme, Scottish Government.
