- ELF Cosmetics has been really stepping up their game recently, especially with their Beauty Shield products.  Once the ELF Beauty Shield Skin Makeup Primer is quite an impressive primer and I love that ELF has chosen to include some antioxidants and skin soothing ingredients.  This is a mineral sunscreen with an impressive SPF 50.  The primer is a little thick and does take a little bit of work to smooth over your skin, it also has a neutral tone that most people won't have any issue with it.  This does contain a hint of fragrance but it does dissipate pretty quickly so it isn't bothersome.  Once you put in the little effort it takes to apply (due to the thick consistency) it you will be happy with this.
