This is Daniel C. Petersons 2006 FAIR Conference address, which he discusses the witnesses of the Restoration Oliver Cowdery, Martin Harris, and David Whitmer. This is something that critics cannot answer. If Joseph Smith was alone in Angelic visitations, the lifting and witness of the Gold plates, and other miraculous events, it would be harder to defend his position. Be we have several third party accounts of these events. All three witnesses left the Church, but NEVER denied what they saw and heard. They would have benefited if they did deny it, but because they actually happened, they could not and did not. This is a great testimony of the Restoration of the Church.
