Automakers Hope New Electric Technology will Create Jobs, Profits

The "big three" Detroit automakers - Chrysler, Ford, and General Motors - are reeling from the sharpest decline in sales in decades. But at this year's biggest U.S. automobile show, there are signs that new electric technology could mark the beginning of a turnaround that could eventually return U.S. automakers to profitability. As VOA's Kane Farabaugh reports from Detroit, Michigan, it could also create new jobs for a workforce struggling to make ends meet.
