ALOHA, An other beautiful day on OAHU :) Banán is a small company based on Oahu in Hawaii providing an alternative that creates a healthier and vegan version of ice cream. Three friends that combined their passion for entrepreneurship with each other run the company. Through traveling around the world they used their collected knowledge to create a vegan ice cream company in Hawaii They are implementing a sustainable and organic lifestyle in their product. They turn frozen fruit into a healthy vegan soft ice cream alternative. All the flavors get served in a sliced papaya as shown on the picture . This is an essential part of their company philosophy, which is based on the zero waste concept. They have implemented a table-to-farm idea, where all compostable materials such as empty papayas; food scraps, bowls and napkins are taken to Kunia Country Farms to be reclaimed back into the soil. The “table to farm” concept is one that a lot of Hawaii-based establishments have developed; in order to benefit the local economy and community by buying and selling locally produced resources If you have any questions about living in Hawaii :) feel free to leave a comment.
