Protesters outside Governor Cuomo's Manhattan office hold rally September 26, 2012 and delegates present to his staff about 2000 petitions to close the notorious Attica prison, rated the worst by the Correctional Association in nearly all categories like racism, brutality, sexual abuse. One former Attica prisoner recounts the chief guard of the day even refusing to let the warden walk around the prison. Because some of Cuomo's key staff were out observing Yom Kippur, the delegates chose to wait for a better time to present the petitions so they could be considered with maximum seriousness.
