The economic situation in Zimbabwe that saw the unemployment rate going beyond 80 percent broke the artificial gender barrier with most young people taking jobs considered for women. 

Today most women prefer their hair to be done by men and this has created employment opportunities for the local community youths judging with the number of female clients seeking their services.
