Ex-GWR 4073 Class 4-6-0 no.5043 'Earl Of Mount Edgcumbe' hauled the Tyseley - Llandudno Jc - Tyseley tour 'The North Wales Explorer' (1Z36 & 1Z37). We start the video off at Abergele & Pernsarn Station where we first see a local stopping unit arriving and departing. Afterwards 5043 appears, sadly not at speed due the unit in the previous shot being late, but she still gave a good performance. Next we move to Conwy Castle where after a good huff n puff up the hill to get to my spot we see 5043 running light from Llandudno Jc to Valley (5Z36) where she would be turned on the triangle for the return journey. For our final location we returned to Abergele & Persarn, standing on the first bridge west of the station we get a good view of 5043 at speed along the coast, giving a nice whistle as she runs past us.
