Tanja Gönner,the conservative Environment Minister of the state of Baden-Württemberg is one of the Christian Democratic Unions biggest political talents. 

She has worked for a pragmatic approach to nuclear energy,and is open to cooperation with the Green party. She has now drawn Chancellor Angela Merkels attention and is being considered for a cabinet post at the federal level in the next government.
