The Robocopp sound grenade is a compact, low-cost, personal siren. The concept is simple: pull the tab, make a ton of noise, and get people to come and help or to at least look to see what's going on. If you jog, use it to scare problem dogs. I think it could be used to scare a bear, or to create a perimeter around your camp.
