Professor François Bourguignon is the Director of the Paris School of Economics and Director of Studies at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, in France. He was formerly Chief Economist and Vice President of the World Bank in Washington. Since returning to France in 2007, Prof. Bourguignon has continued to advise international organizations and national governments. Prof. Bourguignon's research interests, which he has explored through a wide body of published books and journal articles, focuses on global economics and the redistribution of wealth between developing and developed countries. In this interview for United Nations University Conversation Series on Global Justice, Prof. Bourguignon shares insights on ways to move towards greater economic justice.
