Saudi delegation seen arriving at consul's residence

(17 Oct 2018) A delegation from Saudi Arabia entered the consul-general's residence in Istanbul Wednesday, as pressure mounts on the kingdom to explain what happened to missing journalist Jamal Khashoggi. The Saudi writer vanished on October 2 while visiting the consulate to pick up paperwork he needed to get married. A Turkish forensics team entered and searched the consulate on Monday for almost nine hours. Meanwhile, a high-level Turkish official told The Associated Press that "certain evidence" was found in the Saudi consulate, proving Khashoggi was killed there. The residence was due to be searched next, however that has not happened yet.
