Another signal hit this time at the South Watt Ave railroad crossing. The signal that was hit was one of the gateless signals that were installed in 2014. The SACRT signal maintainers are welding new bolts into The foundation in the video. The signal had all WCH equipment but no bell. Sacramento Regional Transit themselves doesnt purchase WCH equipment but the signals that were installed here in 2014 have WCH equipment due to it being the contractors that SACRT had install the signals choice. When a new mast signal gets put inn it may not be all WCH anymore as SACRT doesn't use WCH equipment. SACRT uses US&S equipment and Siemens/Safetran equipment currently when they install new signals or new equipment. If the WCH 2nd Gen LEDs are busted they most likely will be replaced with RSI LEDs some used Safetran Fading LEDs if the frames and brackets are broken they will be replaced with Safetran or US&S frames and brackets but if their alright they will remain WCH. The base may get replaced with another WCH Base since SACRT uses those a lot since 2000 but it also possibly be replaced with a US&S base or an L&W base. The light rail does not go through this crossing it goes over it but the crossing is for the UPRR track. It's that time of year again when people here start crashing into railroad crossing signals.
