Sunwing Airlines Makes Inaugural Flight To Tobago

Sunwing Airlines has made its inaugural flight to Tobago from Toronto. THA Chief Secretary, Kelvin Charles, said the weekly nonstop service from Canada is a significant partnership and a landmark achievement for the island. He was speaking at a ceremony to celebrate the arrival of the flight at the ANR Robinson International Airport on Thursday. Canadian High Commissioner, Carla Hogan Rufelds, praised the Tobago Beyond initiative which was recently launched. Since her appointment two years ago, she said she has fallen in love with the island and visits with her family as often as she can. The aim, she said, is to encourage even more Canadians to visit Tobago, which she described as a tropical paradise.
