China retains spot as ASEAN's largest trade partner for ninth year

China has been the largest trading partner of ASEAN countries for the past nine years. Trade volume surpassed 500 billion US dollars last year. That's six times greater than the amount of trade in 2003, when the China-ASEAN strategic partnership was established. Mutual investment over the past 15 years has totaled more than 200 billion US dollars. More than 4-thousand enterprises have been established through direct investment, creating over 300,000 jobs.
