Global perception on SA universities

Some of South Africa's most respectable universities have dropped significantly in the QS World University Rankings. The University of Cape Town dropped 20 places and is now at the hundred and ninety first spot (191st) on the list for the 2016/2017 period, while Wits University dropped a notable 28 places and is now in the three hundredth and fifty ninth position (359th). Every SA university that has featured on the list dropped significantly in ranking, some universities even dropped by an astonishing 100 places.
