Wewak MP, Kevin Isifu, says the education sector in his district needs overhauling. Speaking during a visit this week to Banak Primary School on the west coast, the local MP says officers will be tasked to visit schools and write a status report for all schools. He admitted that the level of education has dropped due to many factors. The member said it is the sole responsibility of school administrations to report to the District’s education office. He says many school facilities remain deteriorated while others have new infrastructure and reports vary. Meanwhile National Planning Minister Richard Maru committed half a million to help Banak Primary School.
