We do plenty of things in this part, specifically enter Deku Palace.

These are the items obtained in this part:

Piece of Heart #8: On the path to Southern Swamp (In the area with Tingle), there is a tree with vines on it. The top of it is guarded by a Bad Bat. Hit it with a Bubble from Deku Link, then climb up the vines to find a Piece of Heart.

Map of Woodfall: In the same area, pop Tingle's Balloon, then pay 20 Rupees for the Map of Woodfall. This will make it a lot easier to navigate the Swamp, Deku Palace, and Woodfall itself.

Empty Bottle #1: In the Woods of Mystery, you will find Koume, injured. After talking to her, go to the Magic Hags' Potion Shop and talk to Kotake. She will be notified about Koume's injury, giving you a Bottle with some Red Potion to help Koume. After giving Koume the Potion, the Bottle is yours to use.

Pictograph Box: Before taking the cruise, Koume will give you the Pictograph Box for helping her out earlier. This allows you to take pictures of various things. You can only keep one picture at a time. This will be used later on.

Piece of Heart #9: In Deku Palace, take the left path. Avoid all of the Deku Scrubs, and make your way to the Piece of Heart. This is one of the easier Pieces to get. If you want to immediately get back to the begining of the Deku Palace, get caught by one of the Deku Scrubs after getting the Piece. You won't take any damage.
