Some postgraduate supervisions have had "roller coaster” rides.  The “chemistry” and “catalysts” of successful postgraduate (Masters and Doctorates) supervision will need to embrace mutual respect of reciprocity in attaining meritocracy. The essence of this talk is to illuminate the necessities of successful “supervisor – supervisee” partnership in pursuit of academic excellence. Professor Siva Muthaly (PhD) is Dean for the Faculty of Business and Management, Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU). Siva Muthaly has a BSc with High Honors from University of Tennessee, MBA from Pittsburg State University, and PhD from Monash University, Australia.
From 1990 to 2015 (26 years), Siva has held academic positions in several prestigious Australian universities (RMIT University, Swinburne University of Technology, University of Newcastle, and Monash University), and in the USA (Kennesaw State University & Elizabethtown College).  
Siva is active in researching and supervising doctoral candidates (27 doctoral completions).  As of 2018, Siva has had over 112 publications including books, book chapters, refereed journal articles and refereed conferences. He has 4 A* ABDC ranked journal articles, which have appeared in indexed journals.  He has incorporated extensive quantitative analysis, which culminated with extrapolation models.
