This is a tool-assisted longplay (TALP) recording of City Connection (シティコネクション Shiti Konekushon), published in 1986 by Jaleco for the MSX homecomputer system.
For this recording, I used the Japanese ROM cartridge release, and recorded it using an official development build of openMSX (0.12.0-229-g3e4b820-windows-vc-x64) for Windows which was set to emulate a Toshiba HX10D -- an MSX1 system.

In this gameplay video I played for an hour long, looping through the available levels several times with increasing difficulty. I show that the maximum amount of oil barrels you can have is 99, as well as the maximum warp score you can get by having 99 barrels when you collect the third balloon. At the end I also show the different ways to die: crash into the stalagmites that are formed when you stay in one place too long, crash into another car, and crash into the cat-like creature. Unintentionally, I end at a distance of 12345 km travelled.

It does look like this version is rather limited to some of the other versions unfortunately. From what I can tell, several of the stages are missing. Also, the 'spinning' of the enemy cars when you hit them with an oil barrel has been replaced by changing the cars into a static heart. Finally, IIRC other versions have a bonus stage, which is absent in the MSX version. The music also gets rather tedious quite quickly.
