Motti Ruimy is an architect, interdisciplinary artist and author. His creative interest primarily lies in the playful merging and synthesis of urban policy and public art. His work is often described as "Action Urbanism." Motti studied architecture at Bezalel Academy of Art & Design, Jerusalem, graduating in 2007. He had previously studied Fine Art at Bezalel Academy, graduating in 2000. He has been guest lecturer in Columbia University (NY), Cooper Union (NY), NCAD, GradCAM, among others. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations) For more information on this particular TEDx event, see http://www.tedxjaffa.com
