MLA and former police chief Kash Heed and Director of the Canadian Drug Policy Coalition Donald MacPherson discuss marijuana legalization at Simon Fraser University in downtown Vancouver.

About 30 people filled a small conference room at SFU for Legalizing BC Bud? Politics, Economics and Public Health, which took place at 12:30 PM at SFU Vancouver (Harbour Centre 515 West Hastings, Room 2270).

Heed and MacPherson spoke briefly about the harms of marijuana prohibition and the benefits of a legal and regulated system, and answered questions from the audience.

Heed recently joined other prominent BC opinion-makers in calls for marijuana legalization, saying, "we are not having any success with marijuana prohibition in Canada."
