On June 10, 2018 soldiers loyal to Paul Biya's government descended into Teke Village located between Kumba and Tombel in the South West, looted homes, financial institutions and other businesses and then razed the village to dust, burning alive three vulnerable individuals who could not run to safety in the process. This is what is forcing many into the forests to join self-defense forces. This is definitely not the kind of dialogue expected.
