This is a perfect budget-friendly alternative to high tea at the Empress hotel here in Victoria B.C. We spread out our Mexican blanket in a quiet corner of the park, laid out our china cups and saucers and enjoyed our tea on a beautiful summer afternoon. Tim picked up a hedgehog as a treat in Cook Street Village and our high tea in the park was complete. Thank you Lucille for this great idea. Next time when we aren't working so hard on redesigning our membership community we will spend some time looking up high tea recipes and put a little more effort into the high tea snacks, sandwiches and scones!
