Majaz is an earthy 4-piece Progressive Fusion Folk band from Bahrain, a small island in the Arabian Peninsula. Their progressive-driven fusion of genres, forged by their unconventional blend of instruments, has been widely recognised, making them one of the island's most unique musical acts. Formed in 2013, Majaz has been performing live for several years and have released their first single in October 2016. They swiftly imprint on your soul. Majaz sings the heritage of Arabian music. The world is amazed at their soulful creations and their instrumental arrangement. After their worldwide recognition, they came to enchant the audience of Dhaka International FolkFest 2018.
The euphony of Folk music from around the world comes back to its’ abode; to the land of Lalon, to the rivers of Bhatiali, to the sound of Bhawaiya.
‘Dhaka International FolkFest’ is a celebration of sheer musical brilliance where myriads of folk artistes from home and abroad perform on a single platform. From the very beginning, our journey has been bestowed with more than 500 artistes from 17 countries and made it the biggest folk music festival of Asia.
