Elrington has openly taken credit for work in the Freetown division. This is in reference to street lights which were installed in the Belama Phase Four area of the city. But Barnett contends that she initiated the process when she wrote a letter to the C.E.O. of Belize Electricity Limited, Jeffrey Locke, requesting the installation. Elrington says, however, that he was able to lobby with a unit manager for the street lights to be put in place. Here is how, he explains it.
