How to accelerate the implementation of sustainable development decisions?

United Nations, New York, 1 February 2010 - A one-day meeting was held at United Nations Headquarters in New York on Monday, 1 February, to accelerate the pace by which decisions on sustainable development are turned into action. Convened by the Division for Sustainable Development of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, the meeting brought together Government representatives, finance experts, the United Nations system and representatives of the major groups to review the steps taken to implement decisions from the 2009 session of the Commission on Sustainable Development.
