Former congress leader Sajjan kumar has been found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case. Following the murder of former P.M. Indira Gandhi, anti-Sikh riots took a lot of innocent lives and Sajjan was found guilty of criminal conspiracy. Delhi High Court has also found Former Congress Councillor Balwan Khokhar and Retired Navy Officer Bhagmal, Girdhari Lal along with two others guilty along with Sajjan. On 1st November 1984 Sajjan Kumar and five others were tried in the case involving the killing of five Sikhs of same family.
