On this episode of New Product Discoveries Randall presents two different manufacturers of products that are utilized in the Industrial Automation sector.

The first item Randall is introducing is NX series of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) from Omron Automation and Safety.  This product contains advanced motion control using built in EtherCAT (Control Automation Technology) which makes it easy to wire up to eight servo systems with up to four axes of motion control.  For those of you looking to develop your own system or a more cost effective solution, STMicroelectronics has the Nucleo series of development boards.  By using the industrial output extension board in conjunction with the ARM MCU development board you can create your own PLC with additional wireless capabilities.
