WALK IN THE PARK episode 24, recorded on 10/24/12 at PEGASYS Studios, public access television in Ithaca, NY. We travel to Fillmore Glen State Park in Moravia, NY in Cayuga County, just a few miles south of Owasco Lake. After a brief introduction to the location and history of the park, including President Millard Fillmore (born nearby, the 13th president of the United States, and the park's namesake; a replica of the log cabin he was born in is located in the state park), we take a video hike down the gorge to the Cowsheds, the waterfall and cliffs at the canyon's end. From Fillmore Glen, we go to Cayuga Lake for a beautiful late afternoon boat tour with Tiohero Tours (http://tioherotours.com) passing Cayuga Inlet lighthouses and the Ithaca College crew team practicing on Cayuga Lake and Cayuga Inlet. We get great views of the Cornell University skyline, Ithaca Falls, and Ithaca College.
Finally, we look at fall colors along Fall Creek Gorge, Ithaca Falls, and Cascadilla Gorge, with photographs and video.
