Former UN chief's remains arrive in Ghana for funeral service

The remains of former UN Secretary-General, Kofi Annan are arriving in Ghana ahead of his official state funeral this week. His wife, Nane Maria, his children and senior UN officials will accompany the body of the late UN chief. They will be received by President Nana Akufo-Addo and the Ghana Armed Forces, before moving to the Accra International Conference Centre. Annan's body will lie in state until Thursday, when he is laid to rest. The diplomat passed away after a brief illness on the 18th of August, at the age of 80.
