In this video, Matthew and his mum are getting ready to do some painting. Together they talk about what they will need, which gives Matthew the chance to practice the key vocabulary. Let’s see how they get on.

By talking ahead, Matthew’s mother has added more complex listening and language skills to this activity. She expected Matthew to listen to and remember the items for painting, so that he could fill in the gap and work out what was missing.  This gave Matthew the opportunity to practice asking for what he needs.
