Today Israel is going to the voting booth to determine who will lead the nation for the next zero to four years. The Temple Mount, the heart of the Jewish nation and the heart of the "undivided and eternal capital of Israel" as politicians on the left and right like to declare, however, seems to exist in a reality barely connected to what is commonly dubbed as "the festival of democracy," namely, election day in the sovereign state of Israel.

This morning, two Jewish worshipers were arrested on the Temple Mount for the perfectly legal act of praying. One of the two worshipers was actually arrested while in the act of reciting a specially formulated prayer for a successful conclusion to the voting process. The second Jew arrested for praying was none other that Aryeh Sonnenberg, a veteran activist for Jewish rights on the Temple Mount, who only recently was allowed back on the Mount after being banned by the police for many months. (Aryeh was our guest on last year's 5th International Temple Mount Awareness Day: https://youtu.be/K7b8_jxp2uM)

At the same time that Jews were being arrested for quiet prayer in the holiest place on earth, a Muslim crowd was busily harassing Jews, running amok and rioting. According to Arab reports, a number of Muslims were arrested. Regardless of the results of today's vote, we will continue to work tirelessly to effect real change on the Temple Mount, from the current shameful anarchy, to a reality befitting the true meaning and purpose of the Jewish state of Israel.

This video consist of two short clips, the first filmed by Jewish worshipers, and the latter, by Muslims.
