Do human rights have a sound theological basis?
Sometimes it seems religions give the impression that God is indifferent to human rights, but this needs to change if we are to find a firm foundation for rights.

The Rt Revd Lord Harries of Pentregarth, Gresham Professor of Divinity and former Bishop of Oxford, takes up this challenge in this free public lecture 'Christianity and Public Life: Does God believe in Human Rights?', given on the 14th of January 2010.
