Soon traffic violators can swipe credit cards or debit cards to pay fine or issued by the road transport officer. All Transport Department offices will start accepting taxes and fees through point of sale machines. Transport department will be the first department in the state to accept collection of taxes and fees through credit and debit cards. Department has re-launch the official department website.

65 services pertaining to new vehicle registration, issue of driving licenses, payment of taxes have been migrated online on Transport department website. Department will soon start accepting debit and credit cards for the payment of various challan, fees and fines.
Director of Transport Department also informed that tender for high security number plates will be floated soon. File pertaining to HSRP has been send to finance department for approval.
Meanwhile Goa tourism development Corporation is all set to launch taxi hailing app for tourist taxi owners. Applications for the same have been invited by the corporation. Managing Director of Corporation Nikhil Dessai inform that taxi registered with the app shall allow to charge fares as per government notified rates.
