Fourteen years ago this August 24th our family was blessed with a smiling baby. She entered the world smiling and she still is. But most of all she is kind. I love Katelyn Carter. My sister, Missy, lost her first child, Will, when he had only lived 19 days. A few years later Katelyn came along. What a joy she has been to the entire family. Especially my father whom she calls, Pappa. When Katelyn was just a child she was diagnosed with Juvenile diabetes just like her mama was when she was a little girl. So this year for her birthday Katelyn wanted to do something that could lead to a cure. I was proud to be the first one to donate.
