Chinese President Xi Jinping has sent a congratulatory letter to the China International Fair for Investment and Trade, which is now celebrating its 20th year. The fair kicked off on Saturday in the eastern Chinese city of Xiamen, and will run to September 11. In his letter, President Xi said the fair has become one of the most influential international investment events in the world. He added that throughout its 20 years, the fair has made contributions to China's reform, opening-up and socialist modernization. The fair creates platforms for investments, publishes official information and leads discussions on investment trends. This year, it is expected that 120-thousand businesses from 110 countries and regions will gather in Xiamen for the fair.
