Percoco was convicted of conspiring to defraud the public of the "honest services" he owed it as a state official, through two separate schemes to benefit Syracuse-based Cor Development and an energy company that was building a power plant in Hudson Valley. Percoco, the former deputy executive secretary to Gov. Andrew Cuomo, was also convicted of soliciting bribes or gratuities from an energy company executive.
