Damaris is a member of the Rosa Parks Feminist Movement for Civil Rights and is Vice-President of the Central Opposition Coalition, one of Cuba's leading democratic resistance groups. Due to her peaceful opposition activities she has become the victim of a brutal campaign of repression aimed at terrorizing her and her family.
