I saw this cool backpack ground station build by JUZ70 from Australia. That dude is freakin awesome at piloting quad copters! His pack ground station is much cleaner than mine but I figured I would grab a bunch of stuff I had laying around the house and build something similar.

The FPV gear is almost all from ReadymadeRC, but some components were from RangeVideo as well.

It took me about an hour to build, most time spent cutting the wood, placing the velcro and cutting some internal holes in the pack for cable runs.

Components:

1 Backpack.
Couple 16" Wood Dowels (square)
2 x 1.3Ghz VRX's. (1 with 3dbi Omni-Directional Antenna, 1 with 8dbi Patch Antenna)
1 3dbi Omni-Directional Antenna
1 8dbi Patch Antenna
1 Eagletree Eagleeyes FPV Diversity Kit
8-ft patch cable for A/V to Fatshark Predator Goggles
1 FatShark Predator Goggles
1 2200mah 3s LiPo for power
1 11" x 16" piece of 1/8" plywood
