This is view from one of the Virandas outside the cells at S-21 prison. Out of 20,000 inmates only 7 left alive. John Dewhirst an English yachtsman, who's boat drifted into Cambodian waters, and was captured by one of the khmer Rouge patrol boats ; was tortured into confessing to being a member of the CIA, and then burned alive. All western inmates were burned alive at the prison so there would be no evidence left. There were approximately 78 western prisoners detained.
