United Airlines Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner (N35953) departing Melbourne Airport (MEL / YMML) on Runway 34 bound for Los Angeles. What a glorious morning it was! The sun was shining and the wind was a howling. With the daily LAX-MEL service that United Airlines operate it spotters have definitly gotten used to seeing this bird around the airport and with rumours of a MEL-SFO or 2nd daily MEL-LAX service circling we could be getting used to seeing this bird more often. I can't say that I'd be complaining. The United livery in my opinion is fantastic! Only on the dreamliners though, on any other United aircraft like the 777 the livery looks extremely dated and to be honest not too pretty. It's a similar situation with Scoot where their livery looks superb on 787 and when they had the 777's looked not as pleasant. I think as more newer aircraft come into the world of aviation we could see a lot of airlines re-jig their liveries to fit in with the times like Etihad with their 787's and A380's.
