Nyrob is a settlement in the Cherdynsky District of Perm Province. The first written source of the settlement dates to 1579.
In 1601 Mikhail Nikitich Romanov, the uncle of the future Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich was exiled here, and soon died here... The shackles of the bound Romanov are still on display at Cherdyn Musieum of Local Lore...In 1621wth the Romanovs in ascendance, the residents of Nyrob who had helped the exiled family member were awarded a diploma oblelnoy (tax exempt).
In 2002, Nyrob was included in the list of historical places of Russia, together with the settlement's five-domed Church of St. Nicholas, compleyted in 1704
