Nick Troiano was until recently the National Campus Director for Americans Elect, a nonpartisan organization holding the first-ever online convention to nominate a third ticket for President and Vice-President in the 2012 election. Nick addresses Us vs. Them in politics, but not the typical Democrat vs. Republican or Conservative vs. Liberal. Rather, Nick addresses the Us vs. Them of those in power vs. the people and points out how our current system fails us and ways some reforms that are needed. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalk videos and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
