Meeting Miss Moose

This is Part Two in a series of videos starring my rats, Rocco and Moose. I got Moose at Plano Pets. Honestly, I would've gotten a rat from a breeder, which was my original intention, but since none were in my area, I just went back to where I got Rocco. Moose was the only one in the whole batch of girl rats who wasn't a siamese, and I've been told that the siamese rats have a rather sad history. Unless bred by a reputable breeder, they have the potential to be quite aggressive, and when the employee opened the door to let me judge the personalities of the rats, all of the siamese rats immediately jumped back and gave me the crazy eye. Moose, on the other hand, came right up to me and started licking my hand and trying to climb up my arm. We kept Moose and Rocco separated for a while, to make sure Moose didn't have any diseases, and that Rocco didn't get anything she might have had. Turned out she did, and he caught it anyways. My first rat Tosca (whom I bought from Petco, which is a bad place to get rats, in my opinion) died of pneumonia, which he had gotten while he was still in store, so this time, I knew the signs of a possible upper respiratory infection. I went to the vet where Rocco had been neutered: Plano Animal and Bird Hospital. All you Plano residents, the people at PABH are AMAZING. First off, they deal with rats, which is a BIG DEAL, not to mention their prices are fantastic and the staff are awesome. I'm totally in love with this place, and no matter what kind of pet you have, be it a dog, cat, hedgehog, bird, rat, or whatever, they'll most likely be able to deal with whatever issues you have. We were given some medicine for the ratties to take, and it's nothing like giving a kid some medicine. They LOVED this stuff, as you can clearly see. Next video is going to be of Rocco and Moose simply being the adorable rats they are. They're of course living together now, and they have a big brother/little sister relationship. It's really adorable to watch, and even though they have their scuffles and fights, they're doing well. :D
