What events took place following the bombardment of the Earth into the new Planet Mobius, the rise of The Acorn Dynasty, and ultimately the tyranny of Dr. Robotnik and his own battles with the Knothole Freedom Fighters? There is always a war briefly mentioned in every incarnation of the Sonic the Hedgehog storyline except the games, but it's hastily glossed over or visited briefly in flashbacks. This intro represents what a show devoted to these times of conflict might resemble, when all the known heroes were children or not yet born and their parents struggled to secure the future of the world. The flags shown are from the various factions of human and mobian (mutated animal) alike, all involved in this decisive time of war. Based on the Sonic the Hedgehog arc from the comic series, and specifically meant as a prequel series to an adaptation of Matt Sullivan's proposal for the show Sonic Freedom Fighters, written by me and the now numerous Sonic Freedom Fighter's team on deviantart: http://jarredspekter.deviantart.com/gallery/#Sonic-Freedom-Fighters The theme music is from the excellent HBO miniseries John Adams, as is a lot of the design of the trailer. In order of appearance the flags represent: -The Acorn Dynasty: The motto reads in english 'Firm roots, strong bark' -The Dunbar Separatists: The motto reads in english 'To defend the homeland' -The Flag of Humanity -The Flag of the Alka nation -The war standard of Cutter the revolutionary -The Flag of the Raven Divers: The motto reads in english 'Winged War' -The Flag of the Echidnas -Robonik's Flag -The Freedom Fighter standard later used by Sonic and his fellow Knothole resistance fighters
