Made a day before 2008, "RosenkreuzStilette ~Blades of the Rose Cross~" is another Mega Man clone of sorts featuring a young Gothic-Lolita maiden known as Spiritia Rosenburg and her companion Lilli. It has it's subtle differences, references and parodies of various things, but it is much closer to Mega Man (and Mega Man X) than MegaMari oddly enough. The game actually features "original" characters and a more indepth story, and is fairly popular within Doujin circles.

Spiritia functions much like classic Mega Man, with a simple charge shot and the ability to slide. Through a code you can activate, you can also play as one of the bosses, Grolla, who has her altered story arc and functions like a watered down Zero (she can't gain powers and was implemented for more of a challenge). The game is less hectic than MegaMari and has numerous humorous bits. Overall, it's a good game, and one in a slowly growing group of games that incorporates Japanese and German like Akatsuki Shisei Ichigo, Akatsuki Blitzkampf, Ehrgeiz, Einhander, and Irk. It has been fan-translated as well.
