Despite the fact that bird crap somehow got on my sheet and ruined a portion, I soldiered on anyway (but really, I just didn't even get to that part yet). Here's a timelapse video of my mural, complete with guest appearances from family members, and a dog. I've since printed out my image on regular paper and will be bringing that with me next time I work on it, so I have a hand-held reference for any blurry or crappy bits. ;) To do this, I used one of those old-school overhead projectors and an image printed onto a clear overhead sheet. The paint marker I used was a Liquitex Acrylic Paint Marker, the colour I selected is burnt umber (dark brown). The image itself is a vintage technical drawing (basically a blueprint of sorts) for an Elgin pocket watch. It can be found on this website here, along with a tonne of other great resources! http://elginwatches.org/ The music featured is by the Littmus Steampunk Band.
